The Bağ Collection (Vineyard/Connection Collection) was born from the traces that continue to live in Ankara’s soil, memory, and people. Bağ is a multi-layered word for Ankara. It simultaneously carries the meanings of vineyards, streams, districts, the fertility of the soil, and the emotional connection established with this city. In Çinçin Bağları, Seyran Bağları, Kavaklıdere, Akdere, Bülbülderesi, and many other neighborhood names, Ankara’s old geography still reminds itself.
This collection sets out from that remembrance. It brings together Ankara's vineyards, streams, steppes, lakes, tumuli, rock layers, birds, local flavors, and productive hands. Each product bears traces from a different layer of Ankara. Sometimes it is nourished by the tumuli of Gordion, sometimes by the colorful hills of Nallıhan, sometimes by the waters of Mogan, sometimes by the vineyards of Kalecik, and sometimes by the scent of juniper from the steppe.
The Bağ Collection is an invitation that brings the silent but strong relationship we have with Ankara into daily life.
Traces of the city, the language of design
In the Bağ Collection, every product begins with a story.
A place name, a natural formation, a plant, a scent, a color, or a production method; these transform into the design language of the collection. The layered topography of Gordion finds its way into a ceramic form, the rock colors of Nallıhan into a silk surface, the water traces of Mogan into a marbling pattern, the vineyard culture of Kalecik into a grape-shaped accessory, and the colors of the steppe and the scent of juniper into artisan soaps.
Here, design is not merely a way to create a beautiful object; it is a means of carrying a trace of Ankara into the present. Color, scent, material, form, and method of use are all considered parts of this story.
Reading the city layer by layer
The Vineyard Collection approaches Ankara through its nature, district names, production culture, craftsmanship, Republican heritage, and traces of daily life. Each product reinterprets a different layer of the city using contemporary language.
Including production in the story
In the Bağ Collection, the product is not merely considered an aesthetic outcome. Who it was produced with, whose labor it makes visible, what local knowledge it carries, and what production relationship it strengthens are also part of the story.
Translating meaning into design
Each product in the collection is based on an idea distilled from an extensive field of research. The chosen theme is transformed into a portable design object through its color, material, form, scent, story, and usage.
A co-created collection
The Bağ Collection was developed in collaboration with artisans, women's cooperatives, local producers, social entrepreneurs, and creative professionals in Ankara.
From ceramics to silk, marbling to metalwork, natural fragrances to local delicacies, each product emerged from the convergence of many hands, knowledge, and experimentation. Therefore, every piece in the collection is not just a product; it is also an encounter, a production relationship, and a storyteller.
Who it was produced with, whose labor it highlights, and what local knowledge it conveys are integral parts of the Bağ Collection's design philosophy.
Discover the stories behind the products
The Bağ Collection emerged from a design process where stories about Ankara were transformed not only into narratives but also into form, material, and use. Each product originated from a different memory of the city; sometimes the color of a steppe plant, sometimes the surface of a lake, the fertility of a vineyard, the wing of a bird, or the layers of an ancient tumulus served as the starting point for the design. These stories were reinterpreted with local producers, artisans, artists, and designers, and transformed into contemporary objects that can be used in daily life.
