From grape color to silk

In Duo Kalecik, the fertility of the lands nurtured by the Kızılırmak River is transferred to the surface of silk through handmade marbling art.

The fluid patterns of marbling abstract the mixing of water with soil, the changing vibrancy of vineyards with the seasons, and the purple hues of grape clusters. Each pattern evokes the colors accumulated in Kalecik's vineyards: deep purple, plum, earth, shadow, and the soft transitions of water meet on the silk.

This interpretation comes to life in the form of 100% silk scarves and pocket squares. The scarf transforms the color of the vineyard into a close-to-body, fluid, and elegant surface; the pocket square carries the same story as a smaller, more intense, and portable trace.

Ancient form, contemporary accessory

The gold-plated brass accessories accompanying the set are inspired by Kalecik's vineyard culture and the form of grape bunches.

The fibula and tie pin are designed with an elegant formal language that evokes the abundance of grapes. These pieces make visible the transformation of the relationship between water and soil into a vineyard, the vineyard into grapes, and grapes into a cultural symbol.

Meltem Melkuç, marbling application

The marbling applications on Duo Nallıhan's silk surfaces are handcrafted by marbling artist Meltem Melkuç. The colors shaped on the water translate Nallıhan's rock layers, valleys, and natural movement into an abstract pattern language.

Belvü Tekstil, silk production

Foulards and pocket squares are prepared by the Belvü Tekstil team using 100% silk fabrics crafted with a satin weaving technique. The edges are hand-rolled and sewn. This preserves the lightness, fluidity, and elegant drape of the silk throughout the product.

Fatih Yaman, fibula and tie pin

The fibula and tie pin accompanying the set are produced by Fatih Yaman as gold-plated brass accessories. Forms inspired by Phrygian heritage are transformed into a contemporary accessory language through molding, casting, and plating processes after being shaped by hand.
