The changing light on the lake's surface, the reeds swaying with the wind, the birds arriving with the seasons, and the constantly transforming rhythm of the water show that there is a vibrant life within Ankara's seemingly calm nature.

From the rhythm of water to silk

In Duo Mogan, the cycle established by Mogan and Eymir with water is transferred to the surface of silk through handmade marbling application.

The fluid patterns of marbling abstract the undulations on the lake's surface, the expanding circles within the water itself, and its rhythm as it changes with the wind. Each pattern carries the ever-changing movement of water, which cannot be fixed in a single moment: sometimes a light trail dispersing on the lake's surface, sometimes a flow passing through the reeds, and sometimes the motion of birds touching the water and rising, appear on the silk.

This interpretation comes to life in the form of 100% silk scarves and pocket squares. While the scarf transforms the fluidity of water into an elegant surface close to the body, the pocket square carries the same story as a smaller, more concentrated, and portable trace.

A Bond Formed by a Bird's Wing

The gold-plated brass accessories accompanying the set make Mogan's connection with birds visible.

The fibula and tie pin in the form of a bird's wing are inspired by the movement of birds resting, flying, and setting off again around the lake. This form brings together the cycle of water and the rhythm of migration on the same line.

In Duo Mogan, silk surfaces represent water, and metal accessories carry the temporary but strong presence of birds. Thus, the nature of Mogan and Eymir is transformed into an elegant piece of clothing through marbling, silk, and gold-plated brass.

Meltem Melkuç, ebru application

The marbling applied to the silk surfaces of Duo Nallıhan is handcrafted by marbling artist Meltem Melkuç. The colors shaped on the water translate Nallıhan's rock layers, valleys, and natural movement into an abstract pattern language.

Belvü Tekstil, silk production

Scarves and pocket squares are prepared by the Belvü Tekstil team using 100% silk fabrics with a satin weave technique. The edges are hand-rolled and stitched. In this way, the lightness, fluidity, and elegant drape of the silk are preserved throughout the product.

Fatih Yaman, fibula and tie pin

The fibula and tie pin accompanying the set are produced as gold-plated brass accessories by Fatih Yaman. Inspired by Phrygian heritage, the forms are transferred to a contemporary accessory language through a molding, casting, and plating process after hand shaping.
